Drawing on work done in U&I/Emerge or other earlier activity packages, each group is tasked with identifying ideas or themes for new activity packages.
Groups given 10 minutes to come up with a 1 minute "elevator pitch".
Podcasting: scalability and sustainability based on EM, SoundsGood, Synnote.
BlipMe: building Cops for different purposes: students going on to Uni & research, digital story telling and microbloggind, articulation of prof identities using microblogging.
Capture: contradictions between moving from concrete to abstract and the problem with the Macdonaldisation of education through limited routes to abstraction, when what is needed is a smorgasbord of global tastes sources and ideas. Research is not designed for practitioners, teachers or even other researchers. We need to discover Jamie's pedagogic kitchen.
Atelier workshop in an attic, MUVES give you the oportunity to build a virtual lab. Traditionally atelier is a master-apprentice model. This models master-master/apprentice-apprentice model using reflection and portfolios. Taking one model based on creativity and trying to transfer that to other disciplines involving students in new areas of assessment. MUVES are interesting in re multiculturaism.
