What is the purpose, aim or objective that underlies or drives your theme? What is your agenda?
Facilitate Emerge as a hub for meeting of projects (see Purpose group). Assumption - no funding for face to face so therefore will be online community largely.
What are the key activities that are needed to further your agenda?
Identify model of sustainability: one of 5 possibilities:
- volunteer governance
- hand over to larger organisation
- business plan for funding
- subscription membership
- let it go
In the immediate term only the first and last seem possible/sensible (2-4 may be useful in future). Therefore suggest going for the first - possibly an experiment but a valuable one.
Link into events, purpose etc. Set up "governing" group of volunteers.
"Rules of engagement" - joining, syndicating in and out, linking to other communities
Review existing facilities, revise facilities (channels discussion)
Who can take these activities forward: organise, do, lead, help?
Meeting today - 5pm! Hopefully will identify specifics.

JISC, Emerge team, Oxford Brookes, membership, other communities, organisations (HEA, ALT etc)
What are the next steps/action points and by when?
Assuming 1. Need to identify roles needed and people to fill them.
Plan handover - contact existing members, inviting involvement in new community, the pragmatics of the handover (preservation of existing content, links, facilities)
